Krismak - Primary Impact Crusher

Primary Impact Crusher

Primary Crushing Solutions Focused on High Capacity and Flawless Cubic Product

In crusher (crushing-screening) plants, the most efficient solution for crushing medium and low-hardness, non-highly abrasive materials (limestone, calcite, etc.) at the primary stage is impact energy. Krismak Primary Impact Crusher series is manufactured to superior engineering standards to crush large-sized feed materials with a high reduction ratio and minimum fine (dust) material ratio.

Thanks to its high rotor speed, heavy-duty kinetic energy, and optimized crusher plate geometry, Krismak primary impact crushers offer much higher hourly tonnages compared to jaw crushers, elevating your operation’s efficiency to the highest level.

What is a Primary Impact Crusher and How Does It Work?

A primary impact crusher is a machine that operates by applying direct high-speed impact to the material via paddles (hammers) on a heavy rotor rotating at high speed. Massive rocks entering through the feed opening experience the first crushing by the impact of the rotating rotor paddles, then are propelled at high speed and hit the adjustable crusher plates (pendulums) on the inner wall of the crusher. Thanks to this dual-directional impact mechanism, the material is perfectly crushed along its internal stress lines and advances toward the discharge opening.

The Krismak design optimizes the residence time of the material inside the machine and the impact angles, relieving the load on secondary crushers.

Outstanding Features of Krismak Primary Impact Crushers

Heavy-Duty and Balanced Rotor Design: The rotor, which is the heart of the crusher, is manufactured from high-quality cast steel and has undergone precise static and dynamic balance adjustments. Thanks to its high moment of inertia (flywheel effect), it operates without losing speed even on challenging blocks.

Wear-Resistant Special Alloy Paddles: High chrome or manganese alloy paddles (hammers) that can be used on both sides by reversing the rotation direction. This design extends the wear parts lifespan while keeping your operating costs to a minimum.

Hydraulic Adjustment and Body Opening System: Powerful hydraulic cylinders integrated for adjusting the crusher curtains (pendulums) and easily opening the body during maintenance periods. This system provides maximum occupational safety and speed in job site environments.

High Reduction Ratio: The ability to reduce large-sized material fed by a single machine to sizes that secondary crushers can directly process.

Monobloc Reinforced Body: High-strength steel construction body structure with inner surfaces completely coated with replaceable, wear-resistant liner plates.

Wide Range of Applications and Sectors

Krismak Primary Impact Crushers are the first choice especially in projects targeting high capacity and regularly shaped cubic form products:

Cement and Lime Factories: High-tonnage primary crushing of limestone and marl, which are cement raw materials.

Aggregate and Quarry Plants: Processing of medium-hardness stones at the first stage to be made into asphalt and concrete aggregate.

Mining Projects: Crushing of soft and medium-hardness non-metallic ores before beneficiation lines.
